A PB story — to mym ind — doesn’t have to be “universal.” But Madonna’s are WAY TOO LONG (should be no more then 600 words, and preferably about 400) and read as a 1930s “Uncle Arthur’s Bedtime Stories” which were these horrific moralistic things published back in the day... At least Markle is an actor, and whenever I’ve had an actor in my writing classes their work has a chance of being decent, due to their understanding of character… not always, but more often than not, true.
