An interesting question, Sam, and one I've struggled with... finally deciding that I'll leave two posts per month free (those that come out on the 1st and 15th). I publish around 8-10 pieces/month. After 30 days, I leave those two free, and put the rest behind the paywall. I'm currently running a "mini-course" in which writers can post stories and share feedback (and I give feedback), and that is for paid folks only. It took awhile to get to all this; I experimented a bit.
