I make a point of supporting local musicians and venues too... but it has to be mindfully done.

We almost lost Vancouver Folk Fest, too, but it's been good to see people rally and support without the Fest having to do the corporate sponsor shit thing... I send them $5/month, and know it's very little, but if everyone does, it's a good number...
