Argh...so true. And I've noticed--much to my dismay--HOW MANY AUTHOR PHOTOS ARE NOW ON FRONT COVERS, instead of tidily hidden on the inside back flap. The writer-as-celebrity culture is dangerous. We are meant to stay in our corners.
