Aurellia...thank you for sharing your story with me. I had to highlight that line. It is SO easy to think that THIS IS IT about school. I teach in a writing program at a Uni, and see it all the time; it breaks my heart, as do your words here. Writing for Medium is truly enjoyable. Writing for myself and for readers is enjoyable! These COVID times are tough to be exploring, but do, as much as possible. As Mr. Twain said, "never let school get in the way of your education!" (paraphrased!! But so good!) Best to you!!
