Far too many Canadians--shocking to my mind--are wanting the US system. I don't know how they've become convinced of this. I have American friends, and KNOW the US system is horrific. Lives are ruined financially, even for those who make a decent income. Canadians are scaring me these days. I had such an argument about this with my older brother, age 64. He seemed to know nothing about the reality...even of the simple act of how one goes about finding an insurance company if you have a chronic health issue in the States... Ugh.
