My numbers are not terribly high. I have around 400 total subs, and about 70 are “paid.” My end goal is to have about 250 paid. But I’m still averaging about $500 between those choose annual subscription and monthly.

Honestly, I don’t want one of those newsletters with thousands — I want to be able to respond to comments and discussion and even stories when they’re posted.

Really it’s taking what I most enjoyed about teaching writing for years to a different place and still doing it, while having control and no academic nonsense! :)

My newsletter isn’t flashy or hypey (is that a word? It should be). Many posts are written in direct response to subs’ questions. I don’t want to become part of the “writing pyramid schemes” I’m seeing out there now. So I’ll grow slowly but solidly, I think.

Do you have a newsletter? Or are thinking about it?
