I am so sorry to read this.

We really do have a bizarre disconnect between our miserable TV/film etc. "entertainment" and the real sadnesses and cruelty in our world. Why so many forms of murder? And we watch and think of it, yes, as a puzzle. When there's life itself to write about and think about and remember and honour?

Many more thoughts too, but that's enough.

Good to remember a person's smile and life, yes.
