I found, in making it a "tithe" thing, that I stumbled over all sorts of music/musicians and books and more. It set me on a wonderful path of art and yes, beauty... which is sacred to my mind.

So when I go to weekly jazz vespers, for instance, at the nearby church, I give a bit extra. My son is a singer, and my sister-in-law is a painter, both full-time, and I know--apart from my own writing--what a difference these steps make.

Now that covid is over, I really try to keep in mind the venues. too, as without them, we won't have music.

LOVE the story of the couple who buy art for each other! What a lovely in-house tradition :)
