I so wish this whole issue had more attention. Glad you've written this piece. I was a contract instructor for years. ONLY tenured folks, though, really, can cause change... and that's a key piece to those rising numbers of contract folks. And even tenured are more at risk than they've ever been.

The pay disparity between tenured and contract, though, let alone the top positions at a Uni, needs to be reconsidered.
