I'm glad you know to keep some of them for your very self! And the plan to journal about the reading is beautiful. My happiest parenting hours were those spent reading. Recently my son had a tattoo of one of the closing pages of our shared most fave picturebook--I got teary when he showed it to me! (Done by a childhood neighbour, now an accomplished tattoo artist!)

This is so-called disenfranchised grief... but I feel--deeply--that you are so right to acknowledge it!!! Own it. Grateful you write about it! Thank you. xo
