In the past 35 years, I've had 13 of working in academia, contract teaching, Been back to scrabbling-on-my-own since '21, and it's by far superior. I make enough. Now opps pop up, a book will get accepted, life goes on... It builds one's faith and trust in the universe. No small thing.
