It might be an idea to think of the Bible as a book that works dynamically with the reader, as opposed to one of "tension." Napolean said it was a "living thing." When I was a teen, I was highly irritated by those who took it literally--it took me decades to see that so did I! I had to work to see it for what it is. Thank you --
