It's not just political language; it's also business language. I started to spend some time in a particular church... but something didn't feel right. (It's been a long time since I attended any place regularly.)

I knew the huge screens bothered me. The fact that, on those screens were mugshots of the "team" and constant reminders of "Events." But then I opened the "annual report" file and read the phrase "on brand"... as in "we're on brand so far this year..." Ugh.

I'm now attending one of the oldest churches in my city, with no screens, thank you, and no branding. "Love each other and pray" is the politics.
