So much truth here--more so than those miserable "5 stages" I'm sick of hearing about!

Forget the typical stages of grief we all love to hate: denial, anger, bargaining, etc. My stages of grief look something like this: obsessive bird watching, squirrel deterrent techniques, the psychic-medium phase followed by the broad condemnation of all psychic mediums, morbid humor, idol worship, shrine building, shrine building, shrine building, intentional shrine dismantling, trail walking, mushroom foraging, occasional flower gardening, houseplants.
My Current Stage of Grief is “Houseplants”
