Thank you for including my work here, Marilyn, and in Middle-Pause! I am very grateful.

I am SO not a niche writer. I've realized over and over, since joining Medium and now Substack, how I am truly all over the map. (Though with Substack, I'm focused on "writing," at least. But even there, genres and forms all over :)

You are absolutely right--follow interests and yearnings, and they do have a way of connecting with the work at hand in the oddest and most life-affirming ways! Writers do need to "know a little about a lot," if nothing else, to create real characters and settings. And mostly, it just makes life more interesting!
