The comparison to throw and squashing clay pots, musician doing scales, etc...no one in their right mind will support an artist doing such. It's just practice. Writing is not unique.

Oh my--discussion is so good. Glad you are persisting with this one. A long time ago I decided "block" was about something else...and ever since that time, I can always find myself doing SOME ASPECT of the art, the task, the prep...whatever it is.
