The other terrifying truth is that, at least since the 70s when church abuse hit a peak, the number of abusers IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS is, in fact, higher. (Yes, higher. You read that correctly.) Maybe we expect more of the church, true. But this cannot go unnoticed. Maybe we're quiet about it because, unless we homeschool, there is not choice.
