Thoroughly enjoyable--I'll be looking up this collection--thank you.

The only time I've seen the maypole danced (its origination was as a phallic symbol for fertility rites...!) was at my step-grandchildren's Waldorf School, where they still do such things. The weaving of the ribbons around was just beautiful, and the intricacy of the dance steps... quite wonderful!
