Very glad you have written and posted this! I didn't want to bring it into the piece... but all true.

We are in a time that is quick to judge. I recall so clearly his wife telling me of the loss of their son because all penicillin was on the front line... It's hard hard hard to imagine.

We need to re-think warfare. It needs to go the way of slavery, and be made illegal. But we are so far from that...
