When I was 4 or 5, my father decided we would no longer attend, that we would have our own family Sundays, and bible study with small groups of friends. We didn't return until I was a young teen. I learned independence and inter-dependence from his example. And even as a teen, attending, I survived my father walking out of meetings more than once, when he disagreed with some words!

Although my father did not always appreciate how I thought... I did learn to think for myself... from him!
