Wow... I started to read through the comments... and couldn't take it. To know a young person in your life to take his or her own life... is horrific. Period.

Lots of anger here, but how you opened this piece seems to be forgotten. To know a young suicidal male brings it home. No, men do NOT have the same type of support that young women do for this one point alone. One point. You bring in a lot here--maybe because you feel you have to explain (you don't!)

But we are losing young men, and the question must be asked: why? I am the parent of three young men, and sister to three brothers. And this is a real question, a real issue.
