Yes, all so true. The "fancier" we get, the less real it seems. I resent the tap-dance. After years of teaching post-secondary as a contract teacher, I went back to do a BEd...oh my. I developed allergies to the word "engagement" as I realized it was a euphemism for "entertainment"...and too much more.

Now, I stay close to the thought of sharing my knowledge, and if some of my passion leaks out and they sop up a bit...good. There are always some few who light up...and it's not me: it's just what they would have stumbled over on their own seeking path! I've just cleared some trees.
